The ski resort of Azerbaijan “Shahdag” – it seems that nature itself has created conditions here for the organization of a ski complex. This is one of the most beautiful parts of the Caucasus with healing clean mountain air and excellent climatic and temperature conditions. There are 5 hotels (3-5 *, there are apartments with kitchens) and the entire apress-ski recreation infrastructure (after skiing) has been created here. 12 lifts of the Austrian company Doppelmayer (cabins, rope tows and carousels) operate on slopes of all degrees of difficulty, and snow cannons improve the quality of slopes and prolong the season.
This quite modern ski resort opened in 2013 and provides all the necessary conditions for recreation and sports. Rent: skis, snowboards and equipment Ski school, medical center, large parking lot. The management of hotels and ski lifts was taken over by PGI Management (Andorra). They recruit staff from locals, but cook and train themselves.
Mount Shahdag (King Mountain) has a height of more than 4 thousand meters, and the complex itself is about 1.5 km. The upper station at an altitude of about 2.4 km, and with the introduction of the second stage of lifts – 2.525 km.
