Sea coast of Nabran

The village of Nabran is located on the shores of the Caspian Sea near the city of Khudat in Azerbaijan. The village of Nabran gained fame thanks to the resort area located around the village. The resort area is surrounded by beautiful relic forests, which are considered one of the main attractions of the area.

The village was founded by Russian settlers in 1900. The name of the village presumably comes from the Russian word “to recruit”. By order of the Russian emperor, people were recruited to the village to catch sturgeons for the royal table. Hence the name of the settlement. Fishing was the main activity of the inhabitants until the 1970s.

The village itself is surrounded by a beautiful forest, where elms and beeches grow, as well as very old oaks. A variety of animals and birds are found in the forests: raccoons, wild boars, deer, hares, jays, owls and other interesting representatives of the fauna. One of the main advantages of this resort is not only its natural and geographical conditions, but also the fact that Nabran is rich in reserves of hydrogen sulfide underground sources, which are an effective remedy for many diseases. These springs form a strip of swamps that separates the village from the beach.

Today it is a very large resort area, where hotels, boarding houses and private cottages are located. Tourists from all over the world come here, as this is one of the places where you can diversify your vacation. Nabran has all the conditions for a great pastime for vacationers of all ages. There are entertainment centers for children, numerous disco bars for young people, as well as cozy and quiet boarding houses for the older generation. In addition, a water park and a sports complex are located near the village, and the close proximity of the Caspian Sea and the temperate climate, which lasts almost the whole year, make this place one of the most visited in Azerbaijan.
